Why Rose Ann joined CCL...

I joined CCL because my family's most cherished, shared memories are of school breaks and summers spent hiking, kayaking, rafting, rock-climbing, camping in and exploring America's most wild and pristine spaces. I dream of a future where my kids can take their kids back to our favorite spots; but climate breakdown threatens ALL of our public lands.

What Adrian has to say...

I love being a part of CCL Ventura County, because I know that my activism and contributions to our collective goals are appreciated.

I feel like I can channel my concerns for the climate into promoting meaningful legislative actions.

Let's Hear from Tom...

My better half and I were driving back from Las Vegas, Nevada, having worked on Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. California was in the bag for Hillary, so we decided to help out in a swing state. Hillary had just lost and we were feeling pretty low. Shortly after arriving home we turned on the TV to find Elizabeth Warren speaking about how the next four years were going to be difficult, and best thing we could do would be to get busy and dedicate ourselves to a worthy cause. I had a history of volunteering for environmental causes and climate change was already on my radar, so it was an easy leap to identify an organization focusing on that subject. CCL’s approach of working on a national level, in a respectful non-partisan way appealed to me and, after attending a few meetings, I felt a positive connection with those I met – which I still do after six years. You couldn’t do better than associate yourself with the dedicated people of CCL who work relentlessly to help solve the single major issue of our time.
